All my posts seem to be centered around the weather.
I am an old lady when it comes to the weather. I think I am highly sensitive to the seasons, like most human beings. It is so lovely outside today! Pretty weather combined with being out for spring break has made for a wonderful week for Betty.
I have cleaning my house including carpet shampooing AND washing windows. I know, big stuff. Baby sister is getting married so tomorrow said sister, super awesome big sister, my mom and I are going to look at bridesmaid dresses together.
Only 5ish more weeks of real teaching and then 7th grade is dead to me! Woot! After TAKS we can focus on real PreAP material and get these goobs geared up for algebra.
I have been super achey lately, but not in the joint dept. In the "my crazy biological need to have a child" dept. I am giving us till June and really start trying. If nothing happens, I will go hit up the dr to get my pipes checked. I still have a gut feeling my baby will come soon. Patience patience!
To distract me from other goober obsessions, I want to re-do my dining room. Hopefully next weekends trip to Warrenton will have some inspiration or awesome mcm junk waiting for me!

Hace frio!
It's so chilly!
Like for real yo! It's the coldest it's been in Houston for years. I may let my horrible dogs sleep with us tonight to act as small space heaters. They can be functional from time to time.
Oh yeah, Happy New Year all! I had a super fantastic NYE with chief eating surf and turf and trying not to tear up at Dick Clark counting down in a non consecutive order. Stay strong Dick!
With the new year, Joe and I have decided to no longer live in glorious denial and start budgeting. We already have some hefty savings for retirement, but no real "oh shit!" money. We would also like to buy something bigger than our t-home in the Lief' after our 5 year grant obligation is up, so we figure a nice down payment would help.
Per my usual anti-change self, I am slow to adhere to the budget. There is still plenty of chump change allotted to buy crap I don't need, it just stinks to remember we are on a budget. Bleh. I need to get over it and come to terms with I am almost 30 and my finances need to reflect it. wahh!
I counted it last weekend, only about 93ish more days of the seventh grade! Woot! Just as soon as I get used to these turds, they will get old and go to eight grade. I hate them but love them all so much at the same time. It's been a challenging year but we are half way done and still alive. It's a straight shot to April 27 (math TAKS), after that we can let loose just a touch. Can't wait to show them Stand and Deliver. They need some ganas!
Anywho, I am going to take a shower now, since it will be too damn cold in the morning. Buenas noches!
